Designed
for graduate riders of the Basic RiderCourse to apply the skills
and techniques developed on the riding range to actual traffic
situations. Students will be provided with modern, street-legal
motorcycles.
You
will learn the best way to ride in rural, residential and commercial
areas, as well as in light and heavy traffic, through intersections,
curves and expressways.
In
small, controlled groups of three (3) riders, your certified instructor
will lead you through five hours of practical on-road riding involving
traffic situations needed to help you develop the proper defensive
driving habits.
To
provide effective and instant coaching, your instructor will utilize
state-of-the-art two-way radio communication and video camera
equipment.
The
course concludes with a skill evaluation and presentation of your
graduation certificate.
Prerequisite:
16 years of age or older, holder of current and valid NYS Class
"DM" license or higher, completion of Basic RiderCourse,
or permission of Instructor
Required
Protective Gear:
DOT-approved helmet, eye protection, over-the-ankle boots, long
pants, long sleeved shirt or jacket and full-fingered gloves (helmet
and gloves provided if needed)
